Would you like to be in a documentary?

How would you like to be featured in a documentary with your family?  I recently spoke with a producer from a reputable production company.  They are working on a new project and need to find families to participate.  The documentary will be "a day in the life" story, featuring families with more than one child on the autism spectrum.  They are trying to bring awareness to what autism looks like, how it be very different from child to child, and what the experience is for a typical sibling in a household that is dealing with autism.

I have been given permission to share information about the project, in the effort to help them find a larger group of families to choose from as they pursue the creation of this documentary.  If you are interested in sharing your family's story, you must meet the following criteria:
  1. Minimum of 2 children diagnosed on the autism spectrum.
  2. Have at least 1 typical, verbal sibling, OR
  3. If there are no typical siblings, the diagnosed children must be capable of speaking in an interview format (suggested age is 6 and up).
If you meet these stipulations and would like to learn more, please send me an email at specialfamiliespc@gmail.com.  They desire to talk with people as soon as possible, so don't delay!

I am personally very excited, and can't wait to see how it all turns out!

  1. Angela,
I just talked with my family and they would be interested in doing the documentary. Let me know what we need to do. Charlotte Delvecchio
